@Szescstopni I haven’t spied any nests of the cranes that inhabit our area during the winter, but I have met several loitering in gutters close to fairly well trafficked streets. I’ve wondered whether they are in these areas because there is a nest nearby but it seems counterintuitive since they stay down on the ground, not in a high place suggesting instead that they are trying to catch fish or rodents.
